I have always questioned authority. Authority doesn't always like it. When I was a probation officer in LA's inner city, it broke my heart that no one ever asked me questions and I was the authority. It was a lateral move to work with stand-up comics, whose essence is social commentary. It is also why I have always loved political comedy and I am blessed with knowing and loving many of the current crop of practitioners.
Each of these comedians are "one of a kind" with a unique perspective and has achieved divergent results and impact. Some are cultural icons and wildly successful. Some are wildly controversial.
